Why Homeopathic DIY Dental Solutions Should Be Avoided
Posted on 6/8/2020 by Lemond Hunter
With the help of the internet, namely google, it is easy to find at home, homeopathic remedies for treating just about everything, even dental issues. But don't assume because something seems natural, it is safe and cannot harm you. We only get one set of teeth… it is best to leave dental care to the professionals.
Homeopathic Treatments May Not Be Approved by the ADA
The ADA is in place to keep patients safe. Check out your toothpaste or mouthwash. Notice the stamp of approval from the ADA? That tells you your mouth, and in general, your body, is safe when using that product. Without the approval of the ADA, you are taking quite a risk in trying to fix your own dental problems with a homeopathic remedy.
Homeopathic remedies can claim to be natural, but they are not required to be approved by the FDA, (Food and Drug Administration), or the ADA. Also, without that stamp of approval, there is no way to know for sure what kind of testing has been done, or how well the product works. There is also no requirement to state if the homeopathic treatment you may be considering, has harmed anyone. That is a great risk to take with your teeth, mouth, and health.
