If you experience sensitive teeth, we have some tips to help relieve some of that discomfort. If you are one of the millions of people in the world with tooth sensitivities, we have hope for you.
What Can I Do to Ease My Sensitive Teeth?
By doing a few simple things at home, we trust your sensitivities will improve on some level. First, choose a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. The active ingredient is potassium nitrate, which blocks pain signals from your tooth to your brain. We also recommend using a soft toothbrush, and gently brushing your teeth twice a day. Another tip is to limit the acidic foods and beverages you consume as they tend to erode the enamel of your teeth quicker than other options. Another thing you can do is gargle with salt water twice a day. Add 3/4 of a teaspoon of salt to a glass of lukewarm water and mix well. Swish this solution in your mouth for a few seconds and spit it out. This is an easy way to reduce inflammation and sensitivity. You can also mix up a hydrogen peroxide rinse to disinfect your mouth. Use two caps of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide to equal parts warm water. Swish this in your mouth and spit it out. It is important to rinse again with water and make sure all the hydrogen peroxide is out of your mouth.
