Brush Before Your Appointment with Us So We Can See if You Miss Anything

If you want to get the most out of your dental appointment, consider brushing your teeth before you come see us. We can accurately assess your brushing technique, and help you understand if you are missing any spots.
Brushing Your Teeth Well is Important
It is important to brush your teeth well. It is possible to avoid tooth decay with a good oral hygiene routine. However, it can be hard to know how you are doing. If you want to be able to tell how you are doing on your brushing routine, brush your teeth before you come to the dentist.
Brush your teeth for two minutes during each brushing session. Use a soft bristled toothbrush so you do not over brush, and carelessly remove your enamel. Use gentle pressure when brushing your teeth. Don't forget to change your toothbrush three to four times a year. We advise our patients to change their toothbrush at the start of each new season. Lastly, brush your teeth the same way each time so you do not have to think about if you have brushed each surface of your teeth.
Do your teeth still feel fuzzy? Brush your teeth again. Does your breath still smell bad? Brush your tongue and go over those hard-to-reach places again. Keep brushing and flossing and you will hopefully see an improvement in these symptoms.
Make Sure to Schedule Your Routine Dental Exams
Make your next appointment for a dental cleaning and exam. We understand there are some difficult places to keep clean in your mouth. A professional cleaning every six months will help to ensure those places are clean and that you're not missing any spots. Don't forget to brush your teeth before you come!
